||This diverse cattle operation requires a broad minded, enthusiastic and experienced individual for the role of Head Stockman. Situated approx. 100km from Normanton and Karumba, Stirling Lotus Vale Station is a high-grade Brahman backgrounding operation currently running approx. 18,000 head across 125,000ha and including a growing Brahman Stud. The station is run as a part of a larger group of adjoining stations.

Job Description: A permanent position is available for a Station Hand on a family owned and operated enterprise in the Douglas Daly NT. Ideally the applicant will have some previous experience in agriculture with very good machinery operating skills. You will be involved in all aspects of broadacre farming, as well as cattle husbandry. Joining a family run operation, you will be required to help with all farm maintenance, such as mechanical, welding, fencing etc. You must work well in a team as well as on your own, be a careful and attentive operator and be willing to learn. A current manual drivers licence is essential although a HR licence is ideal. A very good home, 6km from primary school, is available. Singles, couples and families will be considered. A nanny position may be available for partner. Salary negotiable depending on experience, with annual wage review.

A permanent position is available for a nanny / au pair on a rural property 2 hours south of Darwin.
Your main responsibilities will be caring for three young children (aged 5, 3 and 1), school drop offs/ pick- ups and some household cleaning and gardening.
The successful applicant will be punctual, clean and tidy, have good English skills and be competent in assisting with educational and early learning activities with the children. Position is suitable for a non-smoking person who is a safe driver (on gravel roads especially). Current driver’s licence is essential and ideally you will have your working with children card and first aid certificate.
Accommodation is provided at the staff quarters in a spacious air-conditioned room with queen bed. Living, kitchen and bathroom areas will be shared with other staff members. A good weekly wage is provided in addition to all food included. We are lucky to live in an area with good phone and internet reception (Telstra). We are very close to national parks, hot springs, great fishing and a tourist park with swimming pool and restaurant.
The hours of work are from 6:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, (lunch from 12noon to 1:30pm) and 9am-12noon Saturday. Flexibility will be required on weekends, on occasions, due to the nature of farm work and we will also be flexible if wanting the whole weekend off.
