To be successful in this role you must have a good horse riding ability and some knowledge of cattle is an advantage but not essential as on the job training will be provided. Applicants must be clean, tidy, self-motivated and have good time management and organisational skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Mustering, drafting, trucking of cattle
Use of horses or bikes
Vehicle and Machinery operation
Yard Repairs and Maintenance - including fencing & welding
Assist with vehicle and machinery maintenance and repairs
Follow safe operating procedures
General station maintenance
Willingness to live in a remote locations in the outback
Demonstrated passion for farming and enthusiasm to learn more
Manual Drivers License
Motorbike license preferred
Current basic first aid certificate
This is a physical job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments.
This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull from 10-20 kilo's and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders.

||We are now inviting applications for the position of Senior Station hand, based in Western NSW, a 64,000 hectare property, running up to 1500 head of beef cattle and 15000 head of merino sheep. Reporting to owner, you will have responsibility for general property maintenance and watering points. Competitive and attractive salary packages with conditions are on offer
The successful applicant will be required to
•Water run- monitor and repair pipelines, tanks troughs
•Monitor stock health
•Feed sheep/cattle when necessary
•Feed/water sheep dogs as required
•Monitor fences and repair where necessary
•Repair sheep/cattle yards would include welding
•Motor vehicle/machinery maintenance and servicing
•Ability to ride a 2 wheeled motor bike
•Operate machinery (grader, loader, bobcat) an advantage
•Slaughter and butchering skills an advantage
•HC truck licence an advantage
•Able to work unsupervised
•Possess Good communication skills
•Mustering and general stock work
•Willingness to live in a remote location.
